STREAM ANYTIME with Prime Video from $14.99. Reviewed in the United Kingdom on December 11, 2019 I was determined to see this in the USA, so I bought a region free dvd player here on Amazon ($38) and this DVD.

This was uplifting and funny, the songs from The Fisherman's Friends are very good!

Buy a cheap region free dvd player and enjoy!

I have not actually watched the film myself.I asked a friend for a `wish list` for Christmas and this film was at the top.She said that she very much wanted to see it,as it has some very good reviews,is set in a beautiful part of Britain and it has a lovely story to it based on a true story. Keep Haulin' Buoys!

The music is wonderful, and the actors really bring the characters to life. I didn’t think this would be my sort of film...I was very pleasantly surprised.

A fast living, cynical London music executive heads to a remote Cornish village where he's pranked by his boss into trying to sign a group of shanty singing fishermen. I really enjoyed this movie especially as it was based on a true life Didn't make me feel good at all - utter tripe - got about half way - dunno why they bothered - awful cast and a fly-blown plot - give yourself a break and watch something else, or just read a book. The film, a true story though clearly tailored for entertainment tells of how in 2010 a group of ten Cornish locals based in Port Isaac, Cornwall, are despite their reservations persuaded to record a demo album in the vain hope of getting a recording contract.Feel-good? when it was bought for someone who is Blind and it is not released with an Audio Described Soundtrack (as I believe ALL films should be by law these days ) …. They're all old friends and suspicious of outsiders.
