Mystery & Suspense 2 out of 3 found this helpful. I think it's pretty unfair that this film got a lot of flack, and many people say it's bad. It feels very Canadian. Was this review helpful? Although not as good as the first, this film still is very entertaining and if you've enjoyed the first, then you'll enjoy this one. However, this sequel, also by Tenney, is thankfully a lot better. The chief girl (Ami Dolenz) is beautiful. The revenge plot line just doesn't allow for as many scare opportunities as the first film did. Although not the best in the series, this film still has plenty of good enough horror elements to appeal to fans of the genre. We want to hear what you have to say but need to verify your email. She falls into the same trap as the Tawny Kitaen character in the first film, becoming addicted to using the board while also determined to solve the mystery of the spirits' death and the location of their body. Kevin S. Tenney didn't even write that one. Better than its predecessor in almost every aspect, including the brazen silliness and a fair share of spine-tingling moments that are well-balanced and surprisingly effective. This time around we have lovely and cute Ami Dolenz in the starring role. The former tenant claims she's been murdered, but there's no record of a murder or even her death. But I'm not complaining. It is very scary. “Witchboard 2” has a ouija board in it, but it's merely the MacGuffin that gets the plot rolling, a plot about guilt and being prepared to pay a price to follow your dreams.Well, maybe I'm giving it too much credit, but let's see. This is a curious movie. But if I could I would score it much higher than a 13! It's a bit like renting a VHS tape called “Sexy Zombies” and expecting, you know, sexy zombies; instead, you get a totally well made, interesting historical drama. I didn't care for anyone else, except for Laraine Newman who played the "I'm still stuck in 1969 lady".

The problem with this movie isn't so much the movie itself as the choice for the lead actress. Then people within the apartment complex begin to die in strange ways while Paige tries to uncover the spirit's real identity.
